PATIENT DETAILS

This 37-year-old woman developed laxity and stretch marks of her abdominal skin following the birth of 2 children. Her children were delivered by Cesarian section. The abdominal C-section scar has healed well. Abdominoplasty was performed with the following notables:

  • outpatient surgery
  • general anesthesia
  • repair of the diastasis recti
  • excision of excess tissue
  • drains were not used
  • abdominal binder was worn for 6 weeks following surgery  

The photographic follow-up was obtained before and 3 months after surgery.
