Blepharoplasty Before After #07

Before & After Eyelid Surgery

PATIENT DETAILS

This 61-year-old woman was involved in a motor vehicle accident 4 years ago. The original emergency surgery to repair her fractured cranium and orbit had resulted in an enlarged right orbit with a resulting deep groove to the right upper eyelid fold.

The patient desired better facial symmetry but did not wish to undergo another extensive cranial procedure. Left-sided surgery of the uninjured left upper eyelid was planned. Left upper blepharoplasty was performed with the following notables:

  • outpatient surgery
  • local anesthesia
  • isolated treatment of the left upper eyelid

Photographs were obtained before and 5 weeks after left upper eyelid surgery.
